RHF is very active in local and regional horse shows through KHJA (Kentucky Hunter/Jumper Association). Students at all levels and ages can compete on their horse or a lesson horse. Students are not required to show, but showing can lead to a great sense of accomplishment, and offer goals for each student to strive for.
In our first year of business we have won many ribbons, championships and year end awards. In our last show of the year, two of Angela Walker's students were competing in a very large class and won 1st and 2nd place! For 2006, Jesica Ashby was Circuit Champion at Lakeside Arena for the 2' jumpers, and Chelsea Hackbarth won 6th place for the KHJA year end awards - Congratulations !!
Showing is also a great way to promote a young horse. Our trainer Angela Walker is very active in the show ring with young horses, and also schooling older horses. If you have a young horse that you would like to see in the show ring and doing great, please contact Angela for more information.
